Candace Cameron Bure Claps Back at Troll After Getting Body Shamed for Her Weight

Candace Cameron Bure isn’t for people’s negative comments about her weight.

Responding to a comment left on a sweet picture of the 42-year-old Fuller House star cuddling track of her 18-year-old son Lev, Bure spoke out against an Instagram user who created a?body shaming?comment about her figure.

“All that excercising [sic] but you just seem like you weigh more than your husband, did you improve your diet?” the social media user wrote inside a comment found by the @commentsbycelebs Instagram account, which seemingly mistook Bure’s 18-year-old son on her?husband of over 20 years, Valeri Bure.

Although Bure chose not to correct the social media user on that point, she did speak out against their body-shaming? comment.

“If a 25 inch waist looks big to you – you are browsing an altered lens. Be well,” she wrote.

The Fuller House star previously told PEOPLE that she “feels probably the most fit and powerful that I’ve ever felt within my life.”

In accessory for gelling workouts whenever you can, which can contain everything from “a 20-minute workout a couple of times a week, or perhaps an hour 5 times per week,” the actress attributes her toned physique towards the healthy diet she follows.

“I consume a very plant and grain-based diet,” she said. “I follow a more Mediterranean diet, and so i eat plenty of fresh vegetables and whole grains and fish. I do not eat dairy very often, and i have cut most of the sugar from my diet – I see the biggest effect from refusing to eat as much sugar.”

While Bure has been open about?struggling with bulimia when she was younger, she has recovered from this.

“It’s something which I’m always aware of and that I think about, but having been healthy for so many years, it’s not something I have to think about on a daily basis,” she remarked. “It’s not something which I struggle with anymore. I truly found my joy in fitness, after which as I grow older I’ve been fine-tuning my diet and I enjoy eating what makes my body have the best.”

“I feel a genuine feeling of accomplishment by what my body can continue to do, and I wish to ensure that it stays in shape and it strong for thus many years that are ahead of me,” she told PEOPLE. “You kind of take your body for granted when you are younger, so the older I recieve the prouder I’m of the things I will use it.”
