Pete Murray launches wellness retreat in Byron

The Aussie singer and songwriter is placing a fresh twist on your rock’n’roll lifestyle by blending the love of music using passion for health and fitness.

Along with muso mate Benny Owen, Pete has produced Music and Movements Escape in Byron Bay, a four-night wellness retreat combining music with exercise in a very five-star experience. The ARIA nominated rocker recently involved with The House of Wellness to refer to his motivation for possessing a health retreat.

Tell us a little about why you’ve created Music and Movements Escape with Benny?

Benny and i also have known the other for years now. We first meet around 2004 with only a festival somewhere when Benny was playing drums for Ash Grunwald. Benny is a pretty large fella long ago. It had been time since I saw Benny and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that she was looking fit and trim. He had changed his persona set completely.?He documented this variation in his book ‘Switch to Slim’. We got always both shared a desire for music the difference is we both shared a love for fitness also.

Benny approached us a little while ago around the idea of aiming to do a retreat that combined music and fitness when i was totally within the idea. He then mentioned carrying it out at Elements Resort at Byron Bay making it even better.?Really do not think to spend a holiday with a live acoustic gig in the beach and additionally getting needed for different fun healthy activities.

Describe the retreat for all.?

This retreat often is the first of this category, set in beautiful Byron Bay. By combining music and fitness we bring people an original experience.

This world first escape is going to be held in February 2019 . Music and Movement Escapes offer luxurious accommodation located walking distance from the ocean with one of Australia’s most breathtaking pools, gourmet restaurants and also a luxury spa.

There will be the possibility to do two fitness services with me, guided by fitness expert Benny Owen, as well as a sunset acoustic set from me on Valentine’s. How can you look after your overall health?

I was always included in sport while i was as a kid and I usually have wanted to stay in shape and healthy. I have a good combined diet, exercise while working out and also fun exercise like surfing. Surfing is great for your thoughts. If I’m ever feeling stressed an effective surf always fix me up.

What will be the usual exercise regimen??

In the gym it’s different day after day. Some days are strength days whilst others are cardio. My favourite exercise to undertake is called ‘Man Makers’. They can be so hard but delicious for your liver. It is too hard to explain check them from my Instagram.

What can be your ultimate way to shell out a day off?

I like to get to the beach for one surf or maybe just to hang out and swim. I am a water child so that i like staying around it.

How do you look after your food consumption when you’re driving on the road touring?

This will have really hard from time to time but in many instances I stay with salads where I’ll. I try to remain gluten free and dairy free which means you makes it even harder. This may I’m away I’ll try and take some healthy treats in your own home incase Buy stuck.

You’re nearing 50 – what advice could you give to other men to encourage them to stay active??

What are your goals for 2019 ?

I’m around to drop another single in January off my new album ‘Camacho’ i have a several dates that We’re playing shows. I will also like to record another album this holiday season so it will be a fastpaced year.
